Donald Sangster was a Jamaican solicitor and politician. He served as the second Prime Minister of Jamaica, from 23 February, 1967 to 11 April, 1967, his death.

Donald was the son of Cassandra Feodore Louise (Plummer) and William Burns Sangster, a land surveyor.

Donald’s paternal grandfather was John Dazzlewright Sangster (the son of John Sangster and Catherine Denniston). Donald’s grandfather John was born in Cornwall, Westmoreland, Jamaica. Donald’s great-grandfather John was the son of John David Seivright Sangster, who was Scottish, and of Elizabeth, who was a black slave. Catherine was born in Jamaica, the daughter of Ann.

Donald’s paternal grandmother was Jane Curly Watt (the daughter of James Curley Watt and Anne/Ann Gordon). Jane was born in Gamrie, Banffshire, Scotland. James was the son of William Watt and Elspet Wiseman. Anne was the daughter of William Gordon and Elspet Henderson.

Donald’s maternal grandfather was Oscar Orlando Waite Plummer (the son of Charles Agustus Plummer and Louisa Lewis). Oscar was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Charles was the son of Henry Agustus Plummer and Mary W. Christie. Louisa was the daughter of William Lewis and Cecilia.

Donald’s maternal grandmother was named Mary T. Wiseman. Mary was born in Virginia, U.S., or in Jamaica.
