Gina Schaffer, an affable teen who had just graduated from Monticello High School in Monticello, MN in the United States, has sadly passed away in a traffic accident.
Schaffer died Thursday, August 1st, 2024 in a motorcycle accident in Wyoming, MN.
Her death was revealed by Resurrection Lutheran Church where she was a former worship leader with her twin sister, Diana.
“With heartbreaking sorrow, we announce the death of Gina Schaffer,” the Resurrection Lutheran Church shared in a post on Facebook.
It was announced that a community gathering and vigil was to be held for Gina on Friday.

Gina, according to those who knew her was a delight to be around – a caring and giving person who was wholly devoted to Christ.
A graduate of the Monticello High School class of 2024, Gina was remembered by her colleagues on the athletics team as a “wonderful sister, friend, and classmate to all students,”
Her death has stunned many people who took to social media to grieve.
“Such a wonderful young lady gone too soon. Her joy (that big smile)when she lead worship is how I will choose to remember her,” one user wrote on Facebook.
Funeral arrangements for Gina Schaffer would be released by her family in due time.
